Bad Guy Warning about skyler pentrancosta

Ok so here is my story please bare with me as its four days worth of info!

there was an ad placed in retiles for sale page on facebook. from one sklyer Pentrancosta he had a few reptiles he claimed he needed to sell due to working to much one of which was a juvi male sand boa. I personal messaged him and asked if he would take $80 shipped for it he said yes and then asked the money be sent via walmart to walmart for which i did that day. he then said he had to work late and couldnt ship so he would ship the next day that he'd put heat packs in with the snake and the snake would be fine. then he tells me hes working again and asked his girlfriend to ship the snake for him then proceeded to tell me the snake was shipped via fedex but his girl lost the receipt and he couldnt give me a tracking # just stay home until the package arrives he said. so I hadnt heard anything the next day and it was 11am and normally fedex has been here by then so i pm him again asking if he had found the tracking number so i could see where the snake was he said oh it seems she shipped it via the local post office but it should still be there soon. it wasnt untill 5:50pm that the packaged showed up I had my boyfriend reccord me for prrof and started opening the packed which was shit! it was the tiny little $5.80 flat rate box there was one TINY heating pack no styrofoam no insulation no holes for breathing NOTHING the snake was FREEEZING cold to the touch and very much dead when i sent him the video he claimed he would refund me but i didnt get anything on saturday night sunday or monday finally i pm him again and ask where the money was and he made up a bunch of excuses then blocked me on facebook and I havent heard from him since.

I agree that was not how you ship a snake at anytime & also illegal. I would contact the USPS & give them the shippers info.

I also saw the video. OP please attach it or upload it to Youtube and link to it if you can't attach it. It should be labeled "How Not to Ship a Snake". USPS small FRB, no insulation, a hand warmer for heat... poor thing never had a chance.

Timeline? More personal info, re: email addy, phone number? Trail of conversation, communication?

What a guy. He clearly had the snake's well-being firmly in mind when he chose his shipping/packaging methods. Considering that he found himself in some trouble for impersonating a cop last year, it's possible he may still be entangled in the legal system. If you could find out for sure, you may be able to use that to exert a little pressure on him. After all, shipping a snake through USPS is a federal crime that a PO may be interested in hearing about.

For future reference, in the interest of being completely thorough, you may want to make sure your unboxing videos include a readable close-up of the labels on the box.

The absolutely disgusting tragedy of this aside, do we really want to make the USPS aware of this and potentially add more fuel to the fire for lawmakers out to end our hobby?

yet agin this lady is full of shit i did not ship the animal or anything like that i did not refuse to pay her she has her money and needs to get on with her lonely life and off of the computer where she is causing unnecessary shit any other questions fell free to contact me

Quit cussing. And quit posting stuff from facebook. Post it here for all to see. If not then it's not going to help your case. Either way, both of you aren't looking very good in this.

If "your girlfriend" shipped it like that then you are still responsible. Especially since she is probably attached to your forearm, I find it highly unlikely you didn't know what was going on.

Post the whole story here. Fb is notorious for having stuff posted one day and gone the next. You say you 'fixed' the situation, how did you handle that?
