Sorry about all these hoops to jump through, but I am quite serious about blocking spammers and scammers at the gate on this site and am doing the very best that I can to that effect. Trust me, I would rather be doing more interesting things with my time, and wouldn't be making this effort if I didn't think it was worthwhile.

Clutches... how many?
How many clutches do you guys normal get from a single female from a single breeding. I realize this may vary greatly depending on the circumstances. But what is your usual "harvest" one of my girls is already up to 3 clutches this season from one breeding. And two other girls are just starting :scatter:

Derek, I would say an average number of clutches for a female would be 6-8 per season, but I have had gals lay as many as 14!!!

I think Marcia has wrote in the past saying 2-3 clutches is the norm for a female who has only bred 1 time. I've selected 2 females this season which has only bred to the male one time and gotten a single clutch from ech of them so far it will be interesting to see how many more I'll get.

One of my normal females just laid her fourth clutch and is working on a fifth from one breeding way back in January.

I would say around 3 or 4. Also, I have had as many as 18 eggs from one female in a season. She was nocking them out two at a time every two weeks.

This is my first full season breeding, so my first year breeders last year only produced 1-2 clutches eat. However three of my first year breeders of this year are on their 4th clutch.
