In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Weather

There is a discussion of Global Warming and the affects of Man and the industrial revolution of this term. I am going to link from that thread to this so we can all have a chance for input .................

Its raining, and you know at least the stuff falling from the sky isnt white!

Well, that's what I WAS thinking tonight...we've had rain most of the day, but then it went to nasty thunderstorms tonight, and of course hail.

At least most of our snow is finally gone, but of course now we have the mud and muck left behind.....and a small pond at the end of my driveway, lol.

After some thunderstorms the night before, yesterday was a nice sunny day. Today has even warmer weather in store :)
A day to get out!! Hopefully March really will exit like a lamb :)

Here's some good pics of the Iowa blizzard, posted on the Iowa DOT website. There's some really cool pics, and a whole lot of snow!

I'm sure glad that is over, lol. It's supposed to rain most all weekend, but I don't care at this point, because it's not cold or snowing!

Did you enjoy your beautiful weather yesterday, Rozann?

Oh yes! I is/was b e a U tiful outside. This morning it was supposed to rain but it didn't come and almost all the snow is melted (except the places where it was piled from roof shoveling and so on) but other then that it feels so good.
I have the windows open, I love this weather, before it gets too hot and the cold is gone, this and Indian summer. I even started spring cleaning yesterday, just felt great with all the fresh air.
Glad to hear your snow is gone as well. I even got in the garage and cleaned, saw a glimpse of my bike, lol, so tempting, soon.... very very soon!

Something is REALLY screwy here.....we have hit 80 degrees here the last 2 days.

While I'm not complaining in the least, and have thorougly enjoyed it....it just feels like waiting for the other shoe to fall, lol. It's NEVER 80 degrees in Iowa, in March. Of course, the storms are supposed to be rolling in again tonight....we've had tornado watches, but thankfully nothing too bad right around here.

But the orange ladybug-type beetles and boxelder bugs have been enjoying it too, they are everywhere again. And with all of the critters in here, I can't use the only bug spray that kills them.....ugh. I can look over and see about a dozen of them flying around the kitchen light right now. Time to start squashing.

While you were squashing I was out picking up dog poop that the snow had hidden and now is in plain site, lol.
Hey it was outside though and it looks like it going to stay at least a little longer, I will take rain too.

After much wishful thinking, snow all melted, it is snowing here again, has been since late last night and will continue thru the next couple of days. Such fun.

I hear ya, Rozann. It was down to 15 degrees here last night.....at least the snow has stopped, though.

What the HECK..I thought it was supposed to be SPRING!?!?!? :bandhead0 :bandhead0

THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN DES MOINES HAS ISSUED A WINTER
STORM WATCH...WHICH IS IN EFFECT FROM THIS AFTERNOON THROUGH
WEDNESDAY AFTERNOON.

LIGHT SNOW IS EXPECTED TO INCREASE IN INTENSITY LATE THIS
AFTERNOON AND OVERNIGHT ACROSS NORTHERN IOWA. EXPECT PERIODS OF
MODERATE TO LOCALLY HEAVY SNOW THROUGH THE LATE NIGHT HOURS INTO
WEDNESDAY. ACCUMULATIONS OF 5 TO 9 INCHES OF HEAVY...WET SNOW
ARE POSSIBLE BY WEDNESDAY AFTERNOON OVER THE WATCH AREA. THE
HEAVIER AMOUNTS ARE EXPECTED NEAR THE IOWA MINNESOTA BORDER. THE
SNOW SHOULD BEGIN TO ACCUMULATE SIGNIFICANTLY ON ROADS AND STREETS
LATER TONIGHT AND CREATE SLICK CONDITIONS.

I feel for ya Cathy!
Although I see the sun today, it is supposed to sneak in and out over the next days and some snow flurries. I am hoping this is the last snow but it has been known to snow after this.
With it being a whooping 38 outside and sunny until later I hope the sun wins and melts what may come in the evening.
Nows the time to tell ourselves that the winter came in spurts and we had some good winter days.

Ok snowed yesterday and in the night. Woke up to about 3-4 inches of snow on the ground. All I can think about is those poor folks in Florida who have to mow their lawns this time of year.....

LOL, good point Michael.

School was canceled here yesterday, and delayed 2 hours today....and there were still buses that got stuck trying to get through the sloppy mess on some of the back roads. Only saw one car in the ditch this morning though, so it was better than the day before, lol.

We're supposed to hit 50 degrees by Sunday, so the snow should be gone again, leaving behind only a muddy mess to tell where it once was.....

Just wanted to report the weather is getting hotter! Was in for thunderstorms (love thunderstorms) today but now they are just clouds but still very warm with a nice breeze. :D

Finally! I sure hope it is here to stay for awhile!
