FIRE!!! Helix vs. ????

We were finally able to move out of our rented warehouse and into a building that we built to our specks to fit our needs. Everything was great until a week later we had a fire and lost half of our ball python breeders. Thanks to the help of some close friends we have repaired the damage and have started to move back in. We had to rebuild some of our racks and need to replace our heat controls. We've always used Helix in the past but now that we've sunk most of our money into new breeders and repairs there's not a lot left. I know there's some cheaper controls out there but before I purchased any I wanted to get some feedback on what you guys use. Thanks for the help.

nothing but doubled up ranco etc-111000 always have a back up to protect the kids, for the price of 1 helix you get 2 rancos but you have to do a little wiring or contact reptilebasics and order them prewired a little more expensive but worth the savings on advil for head aches

I use rancos but I want to switch to proportionals and just move the rancos to back ups.

Not because of issues with them, I just want a steady heat flow. Well, that & the clicking on & off is irksome when you're trying to sleep.

Having a back up on every one is key no matter what brand or type you choose.

My temps with rancid are always very consistent but I heat myroom
to 76 for my creasted. As for the click guess it could be annoyingbut I
have a separate room for my herps.

I've been looking at the rancos. By the looks of it that will probably be the way we go. Thanks for your input.
