I am going to take it to the FedEX hub, as it is raining and hailing here today. I called them, and they told me to bring my contract, and that was all. I have to be out that way to make a vet run for the cat and alli snapper.

After which, I will talk to the kinko's people. My driver has been notifiied by my rep, and she said he was less than happy about it...so...that might mean the right side up is the upside down etc....

Thanks all!
Hunter

I drop my boxes off at a local Staples store that is around the corner from my house. They have never had a problem with it and they have a late pickup time so I drop off my boxed between 4:30 and 5 PM. I am not sure if they have a Fed Ex pickup or not, but I use UPS.

Heather,

It's really surprising that UPS will knowingly ship live reptiles. Do they know what's inside your packages?

Regards.

Is UPS not suppose to? I have received a boa from a very reputable company and they shipped UPS.

By policy, UPS does not accept snakes....and they are pretty strict about that - unless you are bringing them huge amounts of business, in which case they turn a blind eye

I have also received many animals from well-known breeders and dealers shipped through UPS.

Regards.

So is it frowned upon using UPS or just kind of accepted that hey if they take and deliver it that is good enough for me.

If you are declaring the contents, and appropriately labeling the package, and they accept it - you're lucky. But just because it is accepted doesn't mean it will be delivered: This was taken directly off their Shipping Live Animals page:
Quote:
In the event a package containing a prohibited item is found en route or in the UPS system, that package will be stopped at the location or UPS facility of the discovery. UPS reserves the right to dispose of the package.
Here is a link to the page, so you can read the whole thing: http://www.ups.com/content/us/en/res...s/animals.html
