I probably should have done a few shots on the blue background under the same conditions - wasn't thinking....
Anyway, here are a few shots in early morning - good light, but not direct sun.
If the sun cooperates, I'll do comparison shots later today.
(unfortunately, their routine color changes may come into play - too bad I can't turn on the afternoon sun at my convenience)

My brain is engaging, slowly.....
Here's the original snake (hypo mot) on the same table - with the green background - in morning light (no direct sun)

Not as intense as the pics in direct sun, but definitely better than on the blue background.....that makes sense, though - as awesome as redheads with blue eyes are, a redhead with green eyes is just OMG.

I was just looking back at those first pics - I'm pretty sure that scrub shirt was navy blue...a lot darker than those pictures showed. The color battle with my camera continues.

I know I like the pics my camera takes when there is some green in there. Black background works too, since it's a neutral color.

I think all those last pictures you posted turned out pretty good. Some nice looking critters.
