Has to be an agamid in the same subfamily as frilled lizards and bearded dragons, but that is still a huge group. Is it a female? Maybe from a species with colorful, decorative males, and less conspicuous females.

I'm not an agamid expert, not even close. But I'm starting to wonder if it's a hybrid. Where did the guy get it from?

When I first saw it I thought it shared similarities to a bearded dragon and a frilled lizard. Might be a cross between the two.

I doubt very much it could be any type of hybrid....whatever it is, it looks to be a male because of the blue throat.

Definitely not a hybrid, just a species of agama I'm not familiar with. The blue throat is characteristic of a large portion of the family. Considering there are 420 species in 52 genera, I think you've got your work cut out for you for identifying this little beasty. Looks like Trapelus agilis or Trapelus mutabilis though.

I think Vanessa is correct....mystery may be solved. The common name is " Brilliant agama " [ I think that's what it said....]
