From the pics, I dont see any issues with weight or dehydration. The both look plump and fine. Continue to offer food weekly and eventually they will eat. No need to worry if the vet gave them a clean bill of health!

I hear you man. As a Ball Python owner, it can definitely be frustrating when they dont eat for a while. I am just curious, how long has it been since they ate last?

not too long...about a month or 1.5 month. believe it or not, my ball pythons eat anything. i could give them m&m's (which i dont) and they would eat them until they blew up.

late response... oops

I know this response is late in coming, but I have not been able to get on here much lately, sorry guys! From looking at the pics, it looks like the female larger boa was preparing to shed and possibly the yearling as well. Did they ever shed or was I just seeing things? I know when my bcis are getting ready to shed they won't even look at their food twice, but normally they will take it with a vengeance, and they eat f/t small rats. (I have two yearling bcis) The dumerils looks lanky, but I know that as a juvenile/adolescent, the boas tend to look slimmer, especially the males, until they hit the end of their major growth spurt length-wise. The important thing is to make sure that they stay within the temp ranges, and from the posts above, it looks like they are, that they stay hydrated, and that when they will take the food, they eat. I think once they shed, they will do okay. If they haven't shed yet, try misting them. What is the humidity like in their cages?
