Negotiating in ads

There is no issue from a moderation standpoint, unless things get disruptive (or violate other rules).
I suppose there are some situations in which people would find good reason to do a full deal in the open - trades and breeding loans are easy examples (in fact, once upon a time, we had a specific forum for recording such deals) - but I don't think it should become an expectation. Not everybody is going to be open to it.

The more I think about this, the more I like it. Not only is Deb working out a nice trade, shes also indirectly advertising the quality of animals in her collection.

Also, If there were an "unknown" seller, who had something I wanted...I'd scope out their post history, and if I ran across one or two of these public transaction...it would put me at ease. Basically, its all about what Yaz said..."no BS involved." I would definitely feel more comfortable doing business with them.
