I don't know what a moonlight bulb is, but I would assume not. Most keepers use red, blue, or blacklight bulbs and the snakes are not disturbed or harmed.

The one he's referring to is a blue bulb and i was told it would hurt my snake's eye's to but i think that's just a bunch of bogus i know a girl who has a 10 year old boa and has been useing a moonlight on her for 10 year's and nothing is wrong!

No, the moonlight bulbs will not hurt your boa's eyes.

If it is an albino boa there may be a possibility of it bothering the snakes eyes if it produces a lot of light, or any UV light. Although I really don't know off hand what type of light output that they produce so I can't say for sure.

The "moonlight" bulbs are simply an incandescent bulb that is blue, instead of the more common red color. They put off a blue glow, and neither put out UV nor are excessively bright.

I should add that I have used them for quite some time now, and no one has gone blind yet. I am only using one over a flying gecko at the moment, but he still sees me just fine, and still hunts crickets quite efficiently and accurately.
