The first clutch of Freckle Headed Monitor Babies are close to a month old and ready to go!
For those unfamiliar with this species, the freckle headed monitor (varanus tristis orientalis) and the black headed monitor (varanus tristis tristis) are extremely similar and often mistaken (or mislabeled) in the hobby. They are similar in care and size to an ackie monitor, but do like to climb a little more. They also do EXCELLENT in groups, and are some of the best group monitors I have kept.
Dont hesitate to reach out with any questions about them!
