Rhinoclemmys funerea are the unique fresh water wood turtles - occasionally
I've seen them basking.
{ I apologize for the lousy pics - they don't like being held }
They eat all the pellets and freeze-dried worms and shrimp and Reptomin.. in the water.
What they lack in shell colors and patterns .. they make up in their skin!
Quite impressible in my humble opinion - whatever that's worth.
They live in water the depth of their carapace length and they will come to you for their daily feeding! Quite the unique Wood turtle.
[ will get SCL pic ASAP ]
The breeder tells me they are easy to breed.
And probably the best part [ for some ] is they are very inexpensive.
I wouldn't call them a pair .. too small yet but the duo sells for 129 plus FedEx next day - weather permitting.
