Laura... the competition is simple. You challenge yourself to get better. Not between members. Just looking at Steve's smiling boa... makes me wish I still had DSS so I could get a similar shot.

Love the diaper on the cham... what in the world was that all about? LOL

I'm no competitor either... I love taking pictures of family... I have some in nature but can't seem to find them anywhere

No DSS was used in that photo, I just set my Nikon on the tripod and used a Nikkor 105 micro with a ringlight and snapped the shot with a remote.


This pic was hand held using a flash on the hot shoe.

That's his Speedo ... he'd be very embarrased if he knew you thought it was a diaper!
He's quite the stud (in his own little mind), so was using that photo to find a suitable mate.

Love the intense look on the snake's face in #3, Christine.

Actually DSS stands for Demonic Spawn of Satin... and that was one of my boas. EVERYTIME I would open the tub I would bleed.
