Hello!
Either you have not registered on this site yet, or you are registered but have not logged in. In either case, you will not be able to use the full functionality of this site until you have registered, and then logged in after your registration has been approved.
Registration is FREE, so please register so you can participate instead of remaining a lurker....
Please note that the information requested during registration will be used to determine your legitimacy as a participant of this site. As such, any information you provide that is determined to be false, inaccurate, misleading, or highly suspicious will result in your registration being rejected. This is designed to try to discourage as much as possible those spammers and scammers that tend to plague sites of this nature, to the detriment of all the legitimate members trying to enjoy the features this site provides for them.
Of particular importance is the REQUIREMENT that you provide your REAL full name upon registering. Sorry, but this is not like other sites where anonymity is more the rule.
Also your TRUE location is important. If the location you enter in your profile field does not match the location of your registration IP address, then your registration will be rejected. As such, I strongly urge registrants to avoid using a VPN service to register, as they are often used by spammers and scammers, and as such will be blocked when discovered when auditing new registrations.
Sorry about all these hoops to jump through, but I am quite serious about blocking spammers and scammers at the gate on this site and am doing the very best that I can to that effect. Trust me, I would rather be doing more interesting things with my time, and wouldn't be making this effort if I didn't think it was worthwhile.

Point "J" in the FedEx shipping agrement...
Point "J" states:
"Company acknowledges that all shipments tendered to FedEx under this Agreementare for Business to Business only. No residential deliveries are allowed under this agreement"
Most shippers are sending packages to private residences so how do they deal with that clause? Do they simply ignore it or is it that they don't have it in their contract?
Thanks in advance.

Considering that some Fed-Ex employees are not even aware that their company ships reptiles, I would assume that they are not familiar with the content of the contract. I think the legal dept and sales reps are the only ones who are in the know - The day to day people in operations and transporting most likely don't know what's going on and are just doing their jobs.
After all not very many shippers label their boxes, as to it's contents which is also required per the contract - It could be possible that they "Fed-Ex" are ignoring the clause as it could mean alot of lost revenue.
One could always argue the "Home Based Business" as well...
Line J is in my contract

I think it's just another bit of legality. If you send it to a residence and not a business, if you know they don't ship reptiles, if you know they don't guarentee live arrival, if if if and then you take them to court for something they can simply say you signed the contract knowing a) and b) and c) and etc.
I rarely ship to businesses yet I've never had a shipment refused for going to a residence.

I like shipping to a business. It's much cheaper. LOL.
Just tell them you are shipping it to a breeder who has a home based business and you should be all set.

I've never had an issue with it either, other than I do seem to remember one shipment where they tacked on an extra "non-business residential delivery charge" or something to that extent on to my bill.

Hey Dan, I think it was Rich but not certain that stated back in the 2004 certification thread that he asked and was told a home based business does qualify as a business to business delivery.
