Sorry about all these hoops to jump through, but I am quite serious about blocking spammers and scammers at the gate on this site and am doing the very best that I can to that effect. It never curls up in a ball.... I've seen alot of them just knot them selfs up, but mine just lays in its little hiding spot clurled up... it has a good size cage, (4'x18"x18") and its about 6 months old. just a standard every day Ball.

The "balling" is a defensive behavior exhibited by the animals when they are frightened. It would seem that your's is not feeling threatened. Be happy that he is relaxed in his environment and with you.
alright, thanks! i wasnt sure if it was that or maybe if they were too cold or something that they will try to hold in what ever heat they could....
this is my first ball python, and i really like it! my burmese python i always had to worry about it trying to kill me lol. (VERY tempremental, and i got it from someone that mistreated it)
