St. Joe State Park, Cape San Blas, FL

Connie and I stayed at another one of the cabins at St. Joe state park last week, and fortunately the weather behaved for a change. Did get a short sprinkle one day, but it only lasted about 10 minutes and then it cleared up again.

Got to do a lot of walking on the beach of both the Gulf side and the bay side and saw a lot of wildlife. So of course I had my camcorder with me.

Except for one morning on the Gulf side when the black flies went berserk and tried to eat us alive, it was a really nice time out there. The place didn't even live up to the name we gave it years ago: Cape Sand Blast. The winds were light and just slightly breezy, so the water wasn't very choppy at all.

Regarding the comment under the second video.

I'm sure there are many more types of skates and rays in your neck of the woods but here the skates usually don't have such a ridged looking tail and have dorsal fins. Usually a couple of fins the tail.

Great videos.

Really nice findings! Crazy how many crabs were crawling across the ground. Nature at its best!
