I'm pretty sure none of us know what your local prices are on live feeders.

Though it is theoretically possible to keep a ball on only mice, most folks will switch to rats ASAP. Also, most folks will switch to F/T if at all possible, for cost, convenience and safety reasons.

What do they cost for you? I’m going to big name stores like petco and uncle bills to buy them. Also do you know how to go about switching from live to frozen?

I breed my own, so I have no clue. I wouldn't buy a tourniquet from Petco if my arm got cut off, so I can't help you there, either. I guess you might ask at the store you'll be buying from what their prices are.

Switching from live to F/T can be as simple as skipping a feeding or four and then offering F/T on tongs. Sometimes switching from live, then to freshly prekilled for a couple feedings, then to F/T is more successful.
