I hatched these, but they were not exactly produced by me. A friend has a colony unrelated to mine and his colony produced it/them/egg(s). I, however, recently acquired and hatched the eggs from him, and established or am establishing the hatchlings. I am holding back one hatchling for my group for the sake of genetic diversity and I am parting with two hatchlings. This is aside from any my own colony might produce this year.
Arguably one of the the best candidates for a captive tortoise, the Eastern Hermann's tortoise combines small size, large personality, cold-hardiness, and a broad diet into one convenient package.
The hatchlings will be feeding heavily on weeds, some fruit, some fungi, and some pellets before they leave my hands. I do not part with hatchlings until their plastrons are fully sealed (which happens very quickly for this species) and they demonstrate end-to-end alimentary canal integrity by passing digested waste, as this gives me proper confidence in their ability to thrive in properly set up new homes.
I am expecting to have a limited total number of these this year. Each will be individually enumerated to make advertising simpler for me. Each individual in the batch will have its own post in this thread.
I recommend you research their natural history and general care BEFORE reaching out to buy so that your independent reading does justice to the care you provide for the animals you take responsibility for.
Email only for discussion. It is part of how my records are kept in order.
