I was browsing Ray Hunziker's book in Amazon today, when I came to page 5's "Choosing a Leopard Gecko" guidelines. The last lines about looking for external parasites read (ticks and mites) both dig in beneath the
scales .
What did I miss here? My leos have no scales, but noticeable
pores . Then on the next page he writes about
margins of the scales .
Is he calling the skin bumps
scales ? If they are modified scales there is no distinction, but if you tell me to find scales on a gecko I'll look for snake-like scales!
Anyone up for shedding some light on this one?
