And dont always be swayed by the lower prices or highest absorption rates. It could be harmful and detrimental to your pets.
Always insist to know the crystals or product your purchasing is made from Polyacrylamide Crystals.

There are technically 800-1000 different recipes for how polymers are made, but they are divided into two big categories; polyacrylamide and polyacrylate.


You defintely DO NOT want to use the acrylate variety on your pets Read uses and difference's below.............


Polyacrylate: sometimes referred to as PAC, are capable of holding huge amounts of water, 600 to 800 times their own weight. Polyacrylates are usually made with sodium and are considered environmentally friendly for their own use because the break down in about 4-6 months. The bad part is they break down into ammonia salts and then nitrogen and CO2. These crystals are usually whats used in diapers, water treatment plants and forestation initial plantings, underground sewage tunnels and such.
Do you really want to feed your pets something that breaks down into ammonia?

Polyacrylamide: sometimes referred to as PAM, are capable of holding 300-400 times their weight in water. The final absorption rate is determined by the quality of the water being used, and the amount of dissolved solids within that water. So everyones absorption rate will always be a little different.
These polymers use Potassium in their creation, making them the only variation that is safe for your insects, bugs and or reptiles.
Also; ensure they are anionic crystals only and not nonionic nor cationic varities as these can be harmfull to your insects bugs and reptiles they are being fed too!

Water absorbing crystals come in many different chemical types. These are polyacrylamide crystal, They are the ONLY variety of water crystal suitable for consumption by invertebrates, insects and carried on to your reptiles.
