Holy hell It's not even Memorial Day.
Yep, it went from 2.99 to 3.19 here OVERNIGHT.

I have to take my truck to pick up some things and help a friend of mine with her moving sale today......and it makes me want to cry.

I did the whole 'drive off without paying' thing by accident here a couple years ago. Nice thing about a small town, when I realized what I had done later that night, I went back and the owner just laughed at me and said he figured I'd be back sooner or later, lol.

My son works at that station now......and he says the number of driveoffs has skyrocketed lately. Imagine that.

There is one station in the next town over that will actually take the cost of the gas from a driveoff out of the attendant's paycheck if they don't get the license plate number of the person who doesn't pay. I understand that it's getting to be a bad situation with all of the drive-offs, but that just ain't right IMO.

$3.35 here last night.

and to Chucks post. I read an article yesterday that said sales of boats under 26" were down 10% while those over 26" were up 10%. As one guy in the article was quoted "seems if you can afford a $300,000.00 boat you are not too concerned about the price of gas"

To satisfy my wife's curiosity I inquired with one seller on ebay looking to dump his boat for dirt cheap. When I asked why he was selling it so cheap he told me one of the main reasons and the obvious one was the price of gasoline. At top speeds of 50mph+ on this boat you could expect to burn almost all of the 100 gallon capacity tank within two hours time. It was his fathers boat that he inherited but had no means financially to upkeep the boat or take it out for even a short cruise on weekends.

Imagine that. Burning $300.00+ every two hours hauling ass at top speed. Thats just insane.

This is definately true. Doing marine insurance/finance it seems a lot of people are either unloading middle sized boats for smaller or getting rid of smaller ones all together, while the 29' Hydra sports, 37' Larsons and such are flying off the lots. The price of gas definately hurts the industry because alot more smaller boats sell than the larger ones, but we for one are doing alright. Dan.

Here too. I have a great difference to choose from. Between 3.48 and 3.50, such a selection and that is for the cheapest gas.

Luckily I filled up at 3.14 I am not going anywhere unless I absolutely have to!
