Bad, Bad DHL

I don't know if any of you have used DHL to ship anything, but check this out:


The driver threw my 50g at my house. Literally. Despite all the "glass aquarium, fragile" signs. He must have heard the thing smash, got in his truck and drove away. I was seconds away from getting the door open, and my MIL, fiance and daughter were all sitting in the living room as my witnesses. There is literally popcorn peanuts and glass all over my front porch.

This company is horrible. They have lost packages, they have left boxes of feeders in weird places. Yet I have never actually spoken to a DHL driver. They leave the box and run away. That should be like their motto. I'm assuming all the drivers are illiterate as well. The words "Live Crickets" don't mean anything, they end up under my porch in snow. I have had animals die because they lost the package in their warehouse or they failed to ring the doorbell and left the box in a weird place so I couldn't find it

I'm quite upset now, because I have a skink coming soon and that was his home and I won't be able to find a tank that big for that cheap (EBAY deal).

What a bummer, sorry you have such poor drivers in your area. Our DHL people also leave packages and run. Though they are a whole lot better than UPS around here. Keep us updated on your adventure of seeking reimbursement from DHL.
