As such, I strongly urge registrants to avoid using a VPN service to register, as they are often used by spammers and scammers, and as such will be blocked when discovered when auditing new registrations.
Sorry about all these hoops to jump through, but I am quite serious about blocking spammers and scammers at the gate on this site and am doing the very best that I can to that effect. Trust me, I would rather be doing more interesting things with my time, and wouldn't be making this effort if I didn't think it was worthwhile.

Mercury Vapor Bulbs - life span
I just bought mercury vapor bulbs for two bearded dragon cages. I know that when using fluorescent tubes, they needed replaced every six months because the UVB quality declined. Do mercury vapor bulbs have the same problem? Or are they fully usable until they burn out?

I change mine once a year. The animals in both habitats are doing fantastic. However, I use smaller lights (zoo-med tubes) for my smaller lizards. Just make sure you temp gun and take a reading right under them where the animal is basking to make sure its not too hot.
