"Burgundy Goliath Birdeaters" - VERY RARE MONSTERS!

"Burgundy Goliath Birdeaters" - VERY RARE MONSTERS!

There is much debate about the true identity of these monsters. Here is what's known:

• Spiderlings have light pinkish-white "feet" until they are large juveniles similar to T. apophysis, but more whitish in coloration.
• Mature males, like T. blondi lack tibial apophyses, or mating spurs under legs 1.
• Overall, post-molt coloration is rich, burgundy-brown.
• They are amongst the largest tarantulas in the world being very heavy-bodied and capable of 11.5"+ leg spans and six body ounces.
• Spiderlings come out at 1st instar large 1"-1.5" and grow fast achieving 4"-6" leg spans the first year of growth.
• They originate from Guyana. They are a rain forest species needing a large tank, deep substrate, warm temp. and high humidity with shallow, but wide water dish. Do not free-handle due to their highly irritating abdominal hairs and aggressive deposition.

Some think this is a third species of Theraphosa. Others believe its a natural hybrid of T. blondi and T. apophysis. One taxonomist believes they are a totally different genus. If that proves true, the real I.D. is going to be stunning to many hobbyists.

It is not easy to distinguish the wild-caught T. blondi and this species, but one think for sure is the spiderlings give away the fact they are different. See pics at:

CB unsexed 1"-1.5" spiderlings, $69, 3@$63 ea., 6+@$59 ea.

What a great way to end the year with a species like this! Don't snooze, purchase them before they sell out!
