Update on my Prolapsed male! :)

It's been about a month, now and I decided I should update you everyone. I'm so very happy with decision I made with this guy. After amputation, all has healed very well, no bleeding, no swelling, back to eating, I'm a happy mommy.

Now on to some better news. He's going to be a DADDY!! Yippee. One of the females he was with laid two fertile eggs, and there are two more on the way!!!! So I think I made the right decision to amputate, rather than risk leaving him with the chance of 50/50 breeding next year, not knowing if the one hemipenes was viable. I didn't want any of the females waisting their reserves on producing eggs that were infertile.
