Raising pinky questions

Greetings all,
I want to start producing mouse pinkies for a couple breeding projects I'm about to start.
It takes about an hour plus round trip to get pinks from the shop I like.
I have plenty of room and I'd rather raise my own.
Need to feed just shy of a dozen small kings.
Seven are gonna be here in a day or so and probably 3-4 more in a couple weeks.
Would 1 male and 3 females fit the bill (to start with) and would they be able to coexsist?
What might be the optimum caging requirement be?
I'm thinking a "boot shoe" sized tub with maybe 2 water spigots and a food tray or two.
Any advice would be real cool.
Thank you.
Andy

Normal breeding triangle works well: 1 male 2 females, but I think 3 females would be OK too. Breeding happens pretty easily with mice, but it works best if you house the male apart from the females, drop him in for breeding visits and remove him while they give birth.

If they get overcrowded they are prone to eating their young, so I think I'd go for at least 2 cages - you could cycle the male through the females so that you have him breeding one while the other(s) give birth.

Thank you Helen.
That makes sense.
