As such, any information you provide that is determined to be false, inaccurate, misleading, or highly suspicious will result in your registration being rejected. This is designed to try to discourage as much as possible those spammers and scammers that tend to plague sites of this nature, to the detriment of all the legitimate members trying to enjoy the features this site provides for them.
Of particular importance is the REQUIREMENT that you provide your REAL full name upon registering. Sorry, but this is not like other sites where anonymity is more the rule.
Also your TRUE location is important. If the location you enter in your profile field does not match the location of your registration IP address, then your registration will be rejected. As such, I strongly urge registrants to avoid using a VPN service to register, as they are often used by spammers and scammers, and as such will be blocked when discovered when auditing new registrations.
Sorry about all these hoops to jump through, but I am quite serious about blocking spammers and scammers at the gate on this site and am doing the very best that I can to that effect. Trust me, I would rather be doing more interesting things with my time, and wouldn't be making this effort if I didn't think it was worthwhile.
President Obama on Wednesday used a press conference in the Rose Garden to excoriate the National Rifle Association, following the defeat of an amendment in the Senate to expand background checks for gun buyers. Visibly angry and frustrated, Obama said the gun lobby "willfully lied" about the measure, which is the most modest of the three main proposals the White House has put forth to reduce gun violence in America.
Citing polls showing 90 percent support for universal background checks, Obama said the NRA's deceitfulness scared senators into voting against what had been painted as a Big Brother-style gun registry.
"There were no coherent arguments as to why we wouldn't do this," Obama claimed. "It came down to politics."
Obama also had some tough words for Congress. "All in all, this was a pretty shameful day for Washington."
NY Governor Andrew Cuomo’s Machiavellian Plot to ignore and subvert the Rights of potentially millions of NY State residents developed another layer late Sunday. After breaking the story of Amhurst NY Area Resident David Lewis having his lawfully purchase and legally owned firearms confiscated by order of the State Police after a flagrantly illegal and Un-Constitutional review of his medical records , Word came to me in my capacity as in journalist late Sunday that NY Officials have apparently doubled down on their sinister plot and blatant abuse of power.

Biden: 'The President Is Already Lining Up Some Additional Executive Actions' for Guns
BuzzFeed reports:
Quote:
Vice President Biden told White House allies in the gun control fight Thursday that President Obama will be announcing new executive actions on gun violence in the days after the Senate voted down a gun violence bill.
On a conference call with "stakeholders," Biden told gun control advocates that the fight is not over and that eventual action on gun control will come. Press were not invited to the conference call; a participant provided BuzzFeed with access.
"Look I know you're going to say that I'm just being an optimist and I'm trying to put a good face on this. But you know I've been around here a long time and we've already done, because of you, some really good things," Biden said. "Number one, the president is already lining up some additional executive actions he's going to be taking later this week."
After the Newtown shootings, Obama took a number of executive actions to expand research into gun violence and other areas favored by the gun control community. He took the actions without Congressional approval, leading to outrage by some conservatives.
Gun control measures failed in the Democratic-controlled Senate earlier this week.
UPDATE: And now Democratic majority leader Harry Reid has pulled the gun bill:

Screw him. If he wants to try to bypass Congress and the US Constitution with some "presidential directives", then I think it's time to start pushing for impeachment of this clown. That will keep him busy for a while.
Congress worked exactly like it was supposed to, for a change. Tough noogies, pres.......
