what I am so upset about...

The best & most knowledgeble people on this & other forums are gone. WHY are they gone? It's simple. We are always back to square one. It's people like the ones everyone has tried to help that places restrictions on the rest of us about what reptiles we can & cannot have. Why is this? It's because they can place their little cutsie pictures on the internet but can't spend that same amount of time to find out that Corucia do not eat pinkies or what a given lizard does or does not need. An instant fix, just like the rest of society. This irritates me to no end. I am jaded & tired about the same old stuff day in & day out, the same stupid questions. Why can't anyone discuss & address post natal care on Corucia? After the baby is here, why can't anyone focus on how to get mom back to par? I am not a Corucia expert as there is still so much to learn. I have over 30 of them & have done this since 1992 but I did know enough to have looked at their needs before I ever obtained my very first one. It should be standard procedure that every pet store that sells reps should be required to give a detailed care sheet on how to house, care & feed the adopted pet. That the perspective purchaser has the care sheet & 48 hours later to make up their mind as to whether this is their dream pet. The same should be said about internet purchases. I get the feeling that reptiles tend to be throw-aways. This bothers me. ANY animal takes an amount of research to gather the experience as to the needs of a potential pet. My point is why are we still talking diet, housing & the basic matters concerning Corucia as the Solomon Islands are being completely destroyed, a native habitat gone as I write this & hundreds of posts & internet resources to explain the ins & outs of keeping Corucia but someone is still asking the very simple of questions? There's no excuse. It's laziness, it's indifference, it's having attention on this forum for 10 minutes. It's not about Czz vs Cza vs cheetahs, elephants & the countless others dessimated by humans & our encroaching on their territories. The original person that posted this mess that has caused my wrath needs to quit being so giddy about the whole thing & do some real work to understand her animals & their behaviors. The information is out there if she can spend the time to look.

I agree with you fully that there should be requirements at a pet store and even the internet for that matter on any pet sold. Even though it is laziness that people don't do their research and know how to care for their animal before purchasing it, I would rather see them come on here and ask questions than being totally lazy and not finding anything out and letting their animal suffer. That is one reason why these forums were started though. People can come here and ask for help in areas that they are unsure of, and possibly have the best people in that field to help. Just my two cents.

Your two cents were worth alot! I did want to apologize, for not what I said, but for the way that I said it. I should have used alot more diplomacy or maybe I should have never said anything at all. There are those here that I have communicated with for a long time & they know that this was not 'me'. I got lost in the moment & vented. I suppose I felt that everyone should be passed the point of asking some of the things that they still ask but you're right... if they can't spend the time looking elsewhere, to post a question here is better than doing nothing or just winging it. I appreciate your input & apologize to anyone I may have offended by sounding off.
