Field and Vet assistant experience needed

i am looking for a professional teacher or someone in central and eastern NC that will take me on as a field assistant to get some experience in the field. i am getting ready to start a degree in Zoology with my focus on Herpetology and would love some pointers on venomous and others in the field work. i will assist for free, i just want the experience. only professionals (ones who work with labs, teachers, and others related to this type of work) please. thank you

also if there are any vets that have a lot of experience with herps i would love to assist you to get some experience in the medical part of Herpetology and again i will work for free, just wanting the experience.
