Identify Species.

Heres a good one for a pro. I bought a pair of tortoise, with no information- other than "black foot tortoise".
Are these two red foots that are solid black? I cant decide.
They are 3 1/2". The edging of the shell is scalloped, and close up there is slight pattern on the shells like swirls.

They look like Burmese black mountain torts (Manouria emys phayrei). The pectoral scutes are different in the Burmese brown (Manouria emys emys) subspecies.

I agree. Burmese Mt. If you want to ask an expert look up Vic Morgan on Kingsnake.com. I've been considering purchasing this species for a while and his name comes up everywhere.
