about a herper in Middleboro, Massachusetts that lost almost their entire collection to a fire? I heard this information second hand from coworkers that know I'm into snakes. There were maybe 60 animals being kept and only 17 or so survived. Among the snakes was a 6 foot alligator. I don't know any more details but I'm hoping it wasn't Ian Demello that I believe lives in that area. Whoever it was it's a shame so many animals were lost.
The fellow's name was Leo Spinner.
The one from the herald mentions the part about 17 animals surviving out of 60.
Apparently a few of the animals were illegal to keep and the status of his permits is under investigation.
He was also in violation of his lease.
