Thanks.
With these guys I was told I will need all the luck I can get.
I was just happy she did not try to eat her mate

Also, I forgot to mention they are western type blackheads; big price difference, better looking as adults.

Question need advice

So she laid 5 good eggs and 1 slug on May 2nd.
They are fertile, and blood vessels can be seen when candled.
I have them incubating but they are slowly shriveling up and trying really hard to get moldy.
I did not have these sorts of problems when I did my woma eggs and I am doing things about the same.
They are sitting at 88-89 degrees on vermiculite (lightly damp, not wet) with humidity around 90%. I open the egg box briefly at least weekly to let in some fresh air (although there is ventilation on the egg box).

I had heard BHP eggs were tough from a few different people, but this is just driving me crazy.

Any advice that may help me get these eggs to term would be greatly appreciated.

well, 4 of the 5 eggs were beyond saving so I had to preform a badeggectomy.
The lone surviving egg seems to be alright, for now, but I am not going to get my hopes too high. Just going to nurse it along and hope for the best.
Just part of life.
I'll try again in the 2016/17 season.

Total Loss

The last egg exploded with mold, almost overnight.
I did all I could.
I incubated them the same as my successful woma clutch but it all just fell apart for these ones.
I'll try again in the 2016/17 season.

aww that's a shame, sorry to hear it.
I hope next season is better!
I've been getting weird mold in the snake room this year as well, never happened before. I wonder if it's our bizarre weather or something.

I would not be surprised.

The last couple winters have not really lent themselves to breeding, being so warm and dry. I was surprised I got anything.
