Shipping to Fedex hub

This is my first time shipping to a Fedex hub.
I know there is a "hold at location" option when making the label, but do I put the hub address as the address or the buyer's address?

Put the persons address but choose the hold option. If you put the fed-ex address, it will appear as if the package is for them.

I have shipped both ways. I had a customer ask me to ship to an address. Afterward I found out it was the local hub. Now I get their address and mark hold at location. Just need to make sure it is the right hub. I ask for their address now so I'm not sending them across town to pick up their animal.

Agreed - because they aren't going to attempt delivery, it doesn't really matter...as long as you select the correct location for the package to be held.
In the situation Donnie described above, FedEx would likely put the box on a truck & send it out for delivery. (At least that is what UPS did with mine more than a few times)

We ended up changing it to his job. Haha.
Thanks anyway.

I use deliver to hub all the time, debbie at ReptilesExpress.com walked me through it. You put their name, the fed ex hub address and then select overnight standard. You save yourself a few dollars and the animal is in the care of the shipping company for hours less. I was terrified when I looked at the tracking info when sent like this, it states will be delivered by 3pm. This is only if it were to be delivered to a home address, it is shipped out the same time as overnight priority, on the same truck/plane. The only differance is in sorting once it reaches it's final destination. I no longer have them delivered to my houise either, I only pick up at hub.

I always put the hub address, along with the recipient's name and Hold At Location. I've always done that since that's how SYR recommends. I figure that keeps FedEx from trying to deliver it to the person's address...

I ended up shipping it to his job, but what kinda annoys me is it was from CT to RI...I checked the tracking and they sent her to Newark, NJ THEN RI.
Next time I just charge for shipping and drive her out there myself...

She arrived cold, but ok. (Even with a heat pack)

Things don't always go direct/nonstop, even when the locations are in fairly close proximity. Nothing to get upset about, unless you find that it impacts the delivery times. I doubt she would have gotten there any warmer by not passing through Newark. That part falls on you.

Driving it yourself is an option - personally, I find that it is cheaper to ship...even before I factor in my time (which I value highly, lol).
