Natural Brumation

Is it ok to do natural brumation?
Does anyone do it?

As in if the snakes are in a shed outside around the central NC area where the lows could get down to 20 degrees at night. Heat tape would be on as well as a space heater.

What species would be best for this?

I think as long as you have a power in your shed you would be fine to brumate any species that requires it in there. Brumation temps are often species specific.

What dieselfan said, if you do this outside I would invest in a herpstat or some other very reliable thermostats.20 degrees will freeze any snake if your equipment fails and that would suck.
