Anery A Motley Stripes het Ghost

I kept an entire clutch ('02 hatchlings) but have 5 left. Here are the 4 that will be breeding in '05.

First is Fortuna, the darkest and a female.

Next is Fairy, another female, but a bit lighter.

This is Fury, one of the males. He has mostly a stripe pattern which doesn't allow him to show that much of the pink color.

Better head pic of Fury showing the pink at the base of the head/neck.

The prize in the clutch is Figaro, the second male. His over-all color has darkened this summer, but the pink in the "saddles" hasn't faded one bit.

Better pic showing Figaro's color. Hard to think of him as an anery A and not a ghost.

gorgues group!
Like usual, you have some excellent looking babies, only problem is this years coming babies wont be able to breed with siblings, or parents.
Then the gene pool would be too dried up, you'd probably get many deformities, and all around bad results...

I have plenty of mates for these that aren't related at all or only share a grandparent. I will do one sibling mating, which is acceptable, to bring out desired recessive traits. It's when you do multiple generations of inbreeding that you run into problems.

Yea, breeding those guys together would be too bad, but the babies wont be able to breed with each other, or the parents...
Sounds like you have a great plan for those guys though, they should throw some killer stuff, especially that last one!

She's crossing 1 pair of F1 siblings, such as Figaro X Fairy, (hopefully lol)...she could cross the babies (F2's) also, it's a pretty common practice. You'd like to outcross as soon as possible for new blood, but it may take that extra generation to get that look you want...

btw Beautiful Anery's i've read where the motley gene can act "hypo-ish", Figaro would be the perfect example of that...
