Flexwatt and Melamine.

Hey guys, I have a melamine enclosure, and im going to use Flexwatt, I know the flexwatt has to be inside the enclosure, but I was wondering if it needs to be covered with anything?

Most companies that make rack systems put aluminum tape (I believe it's aluminum)
across the front of the flex watt, the part that seems to get the most wear.
