One of Florida's natives came to visit today..

Found this little guy laying in the path between the carport and the house this evening. He is only about 13 to 15 inches long. Probably sleeping because he didn't budge as I walked around him to go into the house and get my camera. But he certainly snapped awake when the flash went off! Looks a little but irritated by my presence, I think....

Awesome Rich!! I too had one here, had a call to come get one out of a yard. It is now several miles from the closest house. It was a good bit bigger than that one. I think these are one of the most awesome reptiles we have in our state, provided they are left in the wild. There are not to many of them around anymore. I brought it in long enough to get these pics.

*is now trying to imagine what significant other would say if I brought a rattlesnake into the kitchen for a photo shoot*

Great pics Bobby.

Actually, I would have to say that EDBs are second only to the black racer as to the most frequent snakes we see wandering through our property here in north Florida.

Thanks guys!!

And to tell you the truth, thats my porch/Reptile room. Little moma would not let me bring it inside. The kitchen would be grounds for divorce, lol. No hots in the house!!
