Question Questions about egg fertility???

I have recently had the good fortune of receiving my first clutch of eggs ever, from breeding a SHTCT baldy to a tang albino giant.(YAY!) The eggs have been incubating at 83 degrees for one week now. I candled both not long ago, and one is pink with a red "oval" in the middle and distinct little veins around it. The other is a pale yellow color all the way through. My question is, how long before you can decide for sure that an egg is infertile? Should I incubate it for 60 days just in case, or is there a point where you know nothing will develope and it is best to get rid of it? Also, because of the fact the my female only laid one fertile egg, is it more likely that this will happen again with her other clutches? Does she need to mate again to give herself more sperm to store? What do all you guys and gals think? Thanks for your advice. Me, and my Leos, appreciate it!

P.S. The one in the middle is the proud mother!

Hmmm...

Sounds to me like one egg is fertile and the other one is not. Usually when you see the

That means it is fertile! Congrats! The other one sounds like a dud. Is this the female's first time breeding?

When in doubt, incubate them anyway! (You might just be surprised...)

I agree just incubate it anyway. Better to be safe than sorry.

Wink

No this is not the females first time breeding. She's a little over 2 years old, and I bought her as a proven breeder. This is her first clutch with me though. I'm so excited. I have two other visibly gravid females, and my mother to be, "Pickle," is starting to show signs of being gravid again. I can't wait to get my first hatchling. Only 50ish more days to go!
