I'm one of those ladies who do miss him also. Sometimes on the cable his shows still go on and that's what really makes me miss him. I'm actually arranging a tattoo of a tribute to Steve in July. Gotta remember the good times though.

Animal Planet is a disgrace these days. I've watched many specials on snakes, and they can't even get the species right with the videos. It is preposterous. Then they air shows about horse jockeys, which I believe should be frowned upon as the horse racing industry is cruel... Shouldn't Animal Planet know that? Anyways, I grew up on watching Steve Irwin, he was my hero. If you would've asked me what I wanted to be, my answer was "The Crocodile Hunter!" I was absolutely heartbroken when I heard of his death... I cried, and still get teared up today if I really think about it. Sometimes it occurs to me that he is gone, and I can't believe it. He was a great man with a great cause, and it is very unfortunate what happened to him.

He died doing what he loved best. He came over the top of a stingray and the stingray's barb went up and went into his chest and put a hole into his heart. Well i must say that he was a brave person.

I too wish Ol' Stevo was still around. Like him or not, he did the animal world some good!
