old photo - smart cat

this was a rather pi$$y rock that was sent to me without warning back in the early 90s - there is another thread in here that discusses that, lol. I promised to post this photo quite some time ago, but didn't have a scanner (and kept forgetting to bring the pic when I was visiting family).
The pic, of course, makes it look worse than it was...my right hand isn't actually holding the snake (I was just reaching up to change hands), and I wasn't actually holding her that tightly with my left - just pushing her back. The best strikes were not caught on camera - she was pretty determined that she was going to tear my face off.
The cat, well, he was my buddy & wasn't going to abandon me...but he had enough sense to watch from a "safe" vantage point, lol

That is funny. The cat is just kind of peeking in on you.
"Uh, Dad, can I have that after you kill it?"

he is poised to run like hell down the stairs (to the immediate right of that partition) if I should happen to lose either my grip or the battle, lol
