I have read many things about temperature and all that stuff. The temperature is a few degrees above 80 f. I know that he must have been eating at one point because he as a healthy tail and he is about 6", I also have seen him eating his shed skin but he wont touch the crickets or meal worms. Please let me know what is going on or any suggestions on how to make him eat without force feeding.

I dont mean to sound like a prick but i notice that many people look at this comment yet nobody accually gives me any info. Whats the deal? Anyways someone I called told me that she might be lonely and needs a mirror so I'm going to give that a try. I did get her eat but I had to get her to open her mouth and once I got part of the meal worm in, she did the rest. What I'd like to know is should I get her a mate of another female so she wont feel lonely?

I keep all my leopards in a thermal gradient. spam_One end of the cage is about 84-86 degrees and the other end is about 76-78 degrees. spam_I also keep everyone in their own enclosure, so they don't have to fight over food. spam_Have you tried offering anything besides crickets and mealworms? spam_I have one female that really likes grasshoppers and cockroaches. spam_Once I got her eating then I weaned her off those and got her eating crickets. spam_Make sure she doesn't have to work too hard to hunt the crickets down. spam_Also you might want to try(this is the expensive way in my opinion) freeze dried crickets with a vibrating dish to make them look alive. spam_Hope I have been of some help.

How long has it been since your Leo ate? I once had a simular problem. The first leo I ever got wasn't eatting, so I gave her some over the counter medicine. It's is called HydroLife, it's made by a company called T-Rex, you can get it in any petshop (Petsmart, Petsuppermarket, local pet shop, etc...) It comes in a small brown bottle with a blue label and a medicine dropper, it only costs about $5.00 -$8.00. (read instruction label carefully, you don't want her to O.D.) Give it to her about once everyday untill she starts eating on her own again. Also make sure to keep her cage clean at all times (you might want to dissinfect her cage with Novolsan S, Virosan, etc...) and seperate her from any other leos you have her housed with. (preferberly in seperate rooms) My first leo recovered and now looks so beautiful. Unfortianetly I soon got four more leos and the male got sick, so I gave him that medicine and he got good then bad then good again, and was sick for about two months and eventualy died and past it on to the other three females. They died too. and in two weeks worth on time I lost 15 lizards because of some virus called coxitian. (that's why I'm telling you to seperate them in different rooms so that you won't have the same problem I had.) I hope that this message helps you out in some way.

p.s. keep your other leos away from the sick one for at least 3 months after she gets better.

You you have trouble finding a disinfectant or if too expenssive ( I paid $60.00 for a gallon of Novalsan S) I would be glad to send you a bottle as long as you pay for shipping.

If you need to get in contact with me, my e-mail address is Leoslizards@yahoo.com
