Monitors and Vitamins
Does anyone know of the vitamins that are good for and harmful to Monitors (specifically, Savannah Monitors)? I know calcium and vitamin D3 is good for them (of course), and i would suspect that vitamin A is bad for them, but what others are good/bad?
The reason why i ask is because I plan to do a little experimenting on lobster roaches and their reactions to different vitamins (how fast they grow, how big they grow, how much to give, the benefits of giving vitamins, etc). Inevitably, all roaches (that are not harmful to my monitor) will be fed to him.
I was thinking of using liquid rodent vitamins, dog vitamins, and a human multivitamin (along with individual vitamins) mixed into their foods. I'll have an experimental group and a control group and I'll be keeping track of every little thing from hatchlings to brooders. Any input from past experiences or what you've heard or read would be greatly appreciated. thx
