Question about Toffees/Toffinos

I'm just wanting to make sure I understand how they work. So Toffee x Albino (or Het Toffee x Het Albino) makes a Toffino, right? Does that mean that if you bred Toffino x Normal, each egg would have a 50% chance of being Het Toffee and a 50% chance of being Het Albino? Just checking to see if I understand correctly...I can see how this could get confusing.

That's the way it appears to me, but of course you know how these things go ...

Not that it has been proven yet, but the most likely case is Toffino x Normal each egg will have a chance of being het toffee or het albino, not both, not none. just like if you breed a super stripe x normal each egg has a chance of being spector or yellow belly, not both, not none.

That is what I thought, but I couldn't find it anywhere. Another question. How hard is it to tell hatchling toffees, toffinos, and albinos apart?

So, I'm guessing a toffino x albino would create all visuals, 50% toffino, 50% albino...

So if you do toffino x toffino you will produce toffinos, albino, and toffees?

It seems like that is what would happen. 25% Toffees, 25 % Albinos, and 50% Toffinos, right?

Yes, I believe all the above predictions are correct with the current working model that albino and toffee are alleles (different mutations of the same gene). Not sure which have been proven but I would be surprised if any of these predictions didn't hold up.

Did recently see a post of a yearly toffino next to a yearling toffee and they were different but not sure how consistent that is. Maybe you would have to hold the ones you aren't sure on for some time to figure out if they were albino, toffino, or toffee.
