Amphibian safe foam/styrofoam blocks?

Hello everyone!

I'm getting ready to set up a couple of tanks of Acris spp., and I am planning on using plain tupperware for a pool of water. In order to decrease the amount of substrate used over the entire tank, I want to raise the tank floor so that the water pool is recessed.

My lab has a bunch of polyethylene foam from organizing optical equipment, and I'm wondering if anyone knows if such foam is safe to use in the tank?

Thanks very much!
