#&*% Mites!!

I have a mite outbreak in two racks. The source has been identified and most of the snakes were immediately treated with olive oil (temporary measure) with good results. Very few dead-appearing mites remained 48 hours later.

I have going to use a generic Elimite (1% permethrin) creme rinse to kill any eggs and remaining mites.

I am a physician and I know how to use it in people. Mites in snakes are new for me.

All bedding has beeen discarded and the totes scrubbed. Now the snakes are on white paper towels only.

Questions:
1) How long do I leave it on?
2) Is dilution needed?

Link still broken, but thanks just the same.

I tried the search before posting. No hits for "permethrin" and "mites" together. I will email the manufacturer. If I get a response I will post it for future searches.
