Hello!
Either you have not registered on this site yet, or you are registered but have not logged in. In either case, you will not be able to use the full functionality of this site until you have registered, and then logged in after your registration has been approved.
Registration is FREE, so please register so you can participate instead of remaining a lurker....
Please note that the information requested during registration will be used to determine your legitimacy as a participant of this site. As such, any information you provide that is determined to be false, inaccurate, misleading, or highly suspicious will result in your registration being rejected. This is designed to try to discourage as much as possible those spammers and scammers that tend to plague sites of this nature, to the detriment of all the legitimate members trying to enjoy the features this site provides for them.
Of particular importance is the REQUIREMENT that you provide your REAL full name upon registering. Sorry, but this is not like other sites where anonymity is more the rule.
Also your TRUE location is important. If the location you enter in your profile field does not match the location of your registration IP address, then your registration will be rejected. As such, I strongly urge registrants to avoid using a VPN service to register, as they are often used by spammers and scammers, and as such will be blocked when discovered when auditing new registrations.
Sorry about all these hoops to jump through, but I am quite serious about blocking spammers and scammers at the gate on this site and am doing the very best that I can to that effect. Trust me, I would rather be doing more interesting things with my time, and wouldn't be making this effort if I didn't think it was worthwhile.

Absolutely NOT.
I will not protest this woman, or this santuary that is home to hundreds of big cats that have been rescued from abusive situations, circus's, and homes that were not providing them enough or adequate care!
This woman and the Big Cat Rescue is a good organization, just like Dog Town, that takes in abandoned, abused, and big cats that are just in bad conditions!
They have a huge volunteer department and have been doing it for years.
This woman is not a fraud and not a liar, and the only thing shes doing is trying to prevent idiots from owning animals like tigers, lions and other beautiful creatures.

Have you ever actually been to the "rescue" or know about the controversies that Rachel is alluding to?
There are some that do not believe BCR is quite as noble as you do.

Did you see the news of all the exotic cats and animals shot and killed in Ohio? A private citizen owned many large exotic cats, bears, etc. He let all his animals loose and then committed suicide. Most all the animals were shot and killed by police.

Pretty quick to make judgment calls on other animal owners. Just because you have no interest in keeping exotic mammals doesn't mean people doing so are "idiots". Did you know Big Cat Rescue completely supported HR669? You are wrong if you don't think that large exotic animal bans won't trickle down to the animals that you approve of keeping.

You would have to not own a TV or computer with internet access to not have heard about that, and frankly this guy was a shady character and an ex-con, who was convicted of an animal cruelty charge. Is the act of keeping the animals to blame here, or people who should never have owned them in the first place? Why did someone like that continue to own these animals? Dogs are never shot by police? How many dogs and cats die in this country everyday? Maybe it's just me but I think all are entitled to live, so as bad as that situation was, I didn't think in the broad scheme of things, that it was that bad. You have to use logic.

Maybe instead of believing the AR-dominated media, you should talk to locals around the Ohio town. Apparently the real story involves the pen locks being cut... why would the OWNER cut locks rather than use his keys? Why would a OWNER cut pens open instead of opening them? Why were animals shot in their enclosures?
Just because the media rushes off to say that no one should own exotics since this guy "allegedly" turned his animals loose and the local authorities went shooting all of them, including ones still on the property... doesn't make it true.
And "Big Cat Rescue" isn't as noble as you think. When she hits your personal pets, saying you're a irresponsible attention seeking abuser for owning a "exotic" like a snake or a lizard, perhaps then you'll understand. There's private owners of big cats with way better facilities than "she" has.

Having worked w ith big cats, let me clarify , it is impossible that this story in ohio is the truth. you COULD NOT cut open and release 45-50 large predators without one of them kicking your butt by the time you let out one of them maybe two they would be on top of you. Maybe 1 -2 predators but IMPOSSIBLE to let out 5or10 trust me impossible to go any higher in number let alone 46 animals anyone saying other wise has not worked with them. IMPOSSIBLE. VOTE

So, what do you think happened? I have my own beliefs as to what happened, it all seemed too shady in the times we are having right now fighting for our rights to own exotic animals.
Lets just say, I wouldn't put PETA past staging the whole thing and offing the guy in the process. But that is just my conspiracy theorist side talking.
