I went to my first convention!!!!!

Not a reptile convention though..

Yesterday, I attended CONvergecne.. the theme this year was "Steampunk".. (next year will be wonder women)

So I had about 1 week to make something to wear to go!! So I took a crack at steampunk accessories

NEXT.. I plan to find a good Elvira costume to wear to Crypticon (horror convention) that is coming up in November.

This guy was my favourite stranger that day!! He was very flirty.. even with that mask on.. was quite adorable, and made me smile

There's a town in New Zealand (Omaru) that is aiming to be the steampunk capital of the southern hemisphere - they weren't quite ready when I was there but some of their sculptures look great. Check it out at:
