Question 2 q's...

1] is this a good vivarium for an arboreal species:

http://www.petsmart.com/global/product_detail.jsp?PRODUCT%3C%3Eprd_id=84552444177 7365&FOLDER%3C%3Efolder_id=2534374302023694&ASSORT MENT%3C%3East_id=2534374302023694&bmUID=1104411527 614

2] why do pythons (or any other species for that matter) always sit like this (look at third pic):

Hi

The first link doesn't work for me.

That's the way they sit/sleep during the day. You want them to sit that way, that's the sign of a happy comfortable animal.

yeah, the stupid link isn't working for me either. if you want to see it, just go back to the link, select reptile, and you should see the reptarium by apogee. that's the one i'm talking about.

it's cool how they sit like that and look all badass!!!

Someone asked about a very similar cage on another forum. Below is my answer to them. The cage we used was a Reptarium.

Quote:
If you have a separate room that is temp and humidity controlled at adequate levels for an ETB, that would be a great cage. But, if you are like most of us and have them in a room that you live in, it is most definitely NOT suitable for an ETB. We tried a similar cage to that back when we first started keeping emeralds, ended up covering it with clear plastic almost entirely and still couldn't keep appropriate levels of temp and humidity.
