Yeah, we find these things around fairly often. Supposed to have a pretty good sting to them, but fortunately I haven't had the pleasure myself...

C gracilis and yes I have stepped on them and it friggin hurts...a real heavy burn

I'd say worse than a bee or wasp sting. I think I've been hit over 25 times now so far. They just hate me, I swear! I got stung in my house sitting in my easy chair reading.
Facinating, but I have to say.. I don't care for after they keep stinging me.
