Their name originated from Greek mythology and Asklepios, the god of healing. These are the intertwined snakes represented on the modern caduceus (medical symbol). If you ever held one, you would understand why they are depicted that way.
These babies are half siblings from two different clutches. They have been feeding steadily on f/t prey since hatching in mid July. They are calm and easy to hold animals, never attempting to bite.
The first picture is a typical hatchling, with a high amount of attractive markings. (They all look pretty similar.) The second is one of the dams with a clutch and third is the father of both clutches. You can see that the hatchling pattern disappears with age as the overall color darkens. The length of the adults is a lean 4+'.
